Need a Question Answered?

Check out some of our most frequently asked questions. We know you might have questions we haven't thought of yet, so if you don't see the answer you're looking for on our website, please feel free to contact us and we'd be happy to answer them personally.

Do I need to be in shape to take a tour? top
Well, we should probably all be in better shape, but no, you do NOT need to start training in order to enjoy our tours.
How fast will we ride? top
Most of our tours are a very easy pace. We are more interested in showing off our city to you than logging miles. We'll log those miles when you aren't around. For those who want a definitive answer, probably not a great deal faster than you might jog; less than 10mph.
I haven't ridden a bike in more years than I care to admit. Will I be able to do this? top
We haven't met anyone who couldn't. From those who hadn't ridden in years to those who thought two miles sounded like a lot.
Are some tours more difficult than others? top
The hardest part of any of our tours is climbing Capitol Hill; they don't call it Capital Hill for nothing. But even this isn't a hard peddle. And if it is, we can always walk our bikes up the Hill.
What if I don't have a bike? top
Well, we think you should buy one when you get home and enjoy the rides around your hometown, but for the purpose of this trip, we will take care of that. All we need from you are a few bits of information.
Couldn't we just rent a bike somewhere and go ourselves? top
Absolutely, and we'll even help you with that if you like, but you will miss out on the best part of touring DC with a professional tour guide:
  • Not getting hopelessly lost and spending the last 3 hours of your visit trying to find your way back to your hotel
  • Going down a side street because you saw something interesting, and not getting lost
  • Understanding what you are seeing
  • Understanding why what you are seeing was put there
  • Understanding and seeing all the details at each site
  • Getting to see what you want to see
  • Seeing things you didn't know were there, and learning something about them
  • Experiencing the Nation's Capital with a licensed tour guide
